Poetry is as poetry does,
it's meaning is of the author.
It could be about purple pandas
who enjoy having tea with a panther.
It could be about how you feel,
it could be about how you'd die.
But no matter if you'd rather conceal,
one day you'll want to fly.

That was just a short poem that I wrote to sum up what I think of poetry. Poetry, to me, is basically when someone wants to write about something, someone, or what's around them. But in a more beautiful or organized form. It could be about anything. Even something that doesn't exist. Like purple pandas, or the end of the earth, or. . . (you get the picture).
My favourite kind of poetry(it almost has to rhyme for me to like it) is about nature, or the world around us. I just love how it can get so detailed, and then it can be simplified. It can paint a picture in your mind with words. Poetry is.

I appreciate that you are writing your own poetry to help express your feelings about poetry. I agree that the beauty of poetry is that it can be about anything. We are going to test this theory in the weekes to come.
